Hardware Overview
ROCK IMAGER® 360
ROCK IMAGER® 360 is a 1098 mm height x 862 mm width x 880 mm depth benchtop imager catering for 364 of 14 mm SBS plates and controlling its internal temperature between 4°C to 30°C (with Chiller option), with ± 1°C accuracy. This imager also features Sorbothane mounts, which reduce vibration caused by moving parts.

ROCK IMAGER® 360 External Hardware
Robotic Power Switch
The Robotic Power Switch turns ON and OFF robotic power. This switch will not affect the system temperature control.
Main Power Switch
The Main Power Switch turns on and off main power. Turning on this switch will immediately activate system temperature control.
Key Hole
The main door is locked with a hex key latch during normal user operation.
Concealed Handle Hole
The threaded holes allow lifting handles to be attached. For safety, always attach a lifting handle when lifting the imager during installation or relocation. After lifting handles are removed, the concealed panel keeps the smooth appearance of the enclosure.
Load Port Door
The clear acrylic door provides direct access to the plates stored in the Load Port hotel.
LED Indicator
The LED Indicator shows different instrument statuses during ROCK IMAGER® operation.

ROCK IMAGER® 360 Internal Hardware
Stationary and Moving Hotels
ROCK IMAGER® 360 comes with moving microplate hotels, which move to the left or right to make space to facilitate robotic plate retrieval. This design is patent pending.
SBS and Thicker SBS Slots in Load Port
ROCK IMAGER® 360 provides one dedicated taller SBS (up to ~30 mm) slot and up to 6 slots for standard height SBS plates (up to ~14 mm) in the Load Port. The Load Port is the only component in the ROCK IMAGER® 360 user need to interact with during normal operation.
Temperature Control
Peltier Cooler or Water-cooling System
ROCK IMAGER® 360 can monitor and regulate temperatures to within ± 1°C with the assistance of its air circulation system. If you use a Peltier Cooler, the system’s temperature can be controlled up to ±5°C from Ambient Temperature. The Water-cooling System can be adjusted from 4 to 30°C.
PSR Auto Calibration
This component automatically calibrates the hotel's positioning with a hand sensor.
Electrical Box
The electrical box safe guards the high voltage components to ensure safety.
Imager
ROCK IMAGER® 360 includes Visible lightpath as the default imaging mode and comes with optional Ultraviolet (UV), Single Light Path (SLP), or Multi-Fluorescence Imaging (MFI).
Plate Storage Retriever (PSR)
ROCK IMAGER® 360 is designed to provide a space-saving experience performed by electromagnetic engaged plate transfer. This design is patent pending. FORMULATRIX provides two types of plate adapters, skirt and shoe, as consumable.
