Common Errors and How to Fix Them

Some errors may occur when operating µPULSE, either from the software or the instrument. The table below shows some of the common errors and how to fix them.

Unable to Find USB

The system cannot detect the USB drive when exporting and importing files to/from a USB drive.

  • Unplug the USB drive from the USB port and wait while the instrument refreshes.

  • Plug the USB back to its port and try again.

  • If the instrument fails to detect the USB drive, check the USB port to see if there’s any damage on it.

Insufficient Storage

The system cannot export profile history to the USB drive because it is running out of storage space.

  • Using your PC, check the available storage in the USB drive.

  • Delete any unnecessary files in it or save them to your PC.

  • Try exporting the profile history file again.

Unable to Tare the System

The system cannot run the initial system taring.

  • Remove all tubes and accessories from the device and restart the system.

  • Go to SYSTEM SETTINGS, select the CALIBRATION WIZARD tab, and then test the scales with a known weight.

  • If there is an error >0.5mL, contact our support team at support@formulatrix.com for further assistance.

Unable to Load Cal Value

The system is unable to load the previous calibration value.

Retry loading the calibration value, if it is still unable to load the values, restart and try again. Contact support@formulatrix.com

for further assistance.

Scale Calib Fail

The system cannot run the scale calibration.

Retry the scale calibration.

Unable to Reset Calibration Value

The system is unable to reset the calibration value to its default value.

Restart the system and try resetting the values again. Contact support@formulatrix.com

Device Name

User inputs spaces when typing the device name.

Delete the spaces or retype the device name without any spaces.

Choose Downgraded Version

User chooses the downgraded version file when updating the instrument offline.

Select the latest updated version from the list and try again.

Activate License

User is unable to update the µPULSE software because the license has expired.

Contact our support team at support@formulatrix.com for assistance renewing the license.

Check Internet Connection

The system cannot check software updates due to internet connection issues.

Make sure you have a stable internet connection and retry checking the software update.

Invalid License

Offline activation with invalid license.

Contact our support team at support@formulatrix.com for assistance with license validation.

Invalid Client Id

Online activation with invalid client ID.

Contact our support team at support@formulatrix.com for assistance with verifying your client ID.

Unable to Activate License

The system cannot activate the license due to internet connection issues

Make sure you have a stable internet connection and try to activate the license again.

Unable to Export Settings

The system is unable to export all available µPULSE settings to the USB drive because it is running out of storage space.

  • Using your PC, check the available storage on the USB device.

  • Delete any unnecessary files in it or save them to your PC.

  • Try exporting the settings again.

Unable to Import Setting New

The system is unable to import a file containing all available µPULSE settings because the file is corrupted.

Select another file to import.

Incorrect Password

User inputs incorrect password when logging into WiFi.

Refresh the page and retry to type the password.

Presuure Too Long

The system fails to reach the pressure threshold or the chip is leaking/damaged.

If you want to run a new profile, use another chip or a new one.

Another Process Running

The system is already running a similar activity when the user attempts another one.

Stop the task or wait for the profile to be completed.

Incomplete Elements

The system detects a component that is still not attached to the device when attempting to run the Cleaning Wizard.

Check the availability of each component on the PULSE device.

WiFi Connection Off

The system is not connected to the internet when it’s turned on for the first time.

  • Make sure the WiFi is turned on before updating the software.

  • Make sure the internet connection is available.

The Advance Setup name is already used

Similar filename for the Advanced Setup detected by the system.

Use a new filename for the setup.

The Advance Setup name empty

The filename is empty.

Insert a name for the Advanced Setup file.

Cant use symbol in file name

The filename contains a special character.

Make sure the Advanced Setup filename does not contain any special characters or spaces.

Common Warning Messages

Some warning messages may appear when operating µPULSE. These messages notify you of a condition that might cause errors in the future, either in the software or the instrument. The table below shows some of these warning messages and how to respond to them.

Damaged Scales

The system detects a difference between the new and saved offset values when loading a calibration history or taring scales after the instrument initialization. The scales might be damaged.

  • Go to SYSTEM SETTINGS and select the CALIBRATION WIZARD tab.

  • Tap CHECK SCALES and then tap TARE.

  • If the sensor measurement is incorrect, calibrate the scales.

Warning 2

The set diaphragm pressure is less than the minimum value required to run a profile

Set the diaphragm pressure at least 5 psi lower than the valve pressure.

Warning 3

A membrane cut off size was not selected before attempting to run a profile.

Select the membrane cut off size before running a profile.

Warning 4

The weight was not removed before attempting to tare the scales via the CALIBRATION WIZARD.

Solution: Unload the weight on the loadcells before taring the scales. If weight has already been removed, the scales could be damaged, please contact our support team at support@formulatrix.com for assistance.

Warning 5

The default value has been modified without the changes being saved.

Just an information notification. No action needed.

Warning 6

This warning appears once a day for 14 days, starting from the beginning of the trial license activation. This message displays the days remaining before the trial license expires.

Purchase a perpetual license and activate it in the INFO & SUPPORT menu.

Volume Change Rate

The system detects that the volume change rate has decreased to approximately xx%. The chip might be broken because this value is below the threshold.

Replace the chip with a new one.
