Loading/Unloading Labware with Cells from the Incubator Load Port

Prerequisite:

  • Wear PPE prior to accessing the Incubator Load Port.

To load/Unload labware with cells:

  1. Press the Airlock Door button to pause active tasks that require the Incubator. The red light should blink and the airlock door should close.
Tip: Press the Light button, above the Airlock Door button, to switch on the lights in the Incubator for better visibility.
  2. Once the Airlock Door button turns green and the airlock door closes, turn the handle counterclockwise to unlock and open the Incubator Load Port door. The Status Indicator beside the door lights red as the door opens.
  3. Load or unload the labware into the load port.
    1. Load the labware to the caddy or load the caddy if you register multiple plates at once.
    2. Retrieve the plate from the caddy. Remove the caddy if you retrieve multiple plates at once.
  4. When done, close the door and turn the handle clockwise to lock it. The red Status Indicator beside the door should turn OFF.
  5. Press the Airlock Door button to resume active tasks. The button should blink red, and the airlock door should open. Once the active tasks are fully operational, the button turns solid red. The elevator automatically scans the caddy in the Incubator Load Port.
